Our vision for NLSTIAM, now in its 11th edition, is to continue to promote excellence in mooting and in particular, foster research and engagement with experts in the emerging field of arbitration. As India’s premier law school, NLSIU, Bangalore, not only boasts of a thriving mooting culture, having won several prestigious international moots such as the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot, Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot as well as FDI International Arbitration Moot but also organizes moots with equal zeal and passion. We at NLS, invite you to engage in nuanced legal issues, enjoy our hospitality and win prizes and internships, joining the ranks of winners of the past editions. Each year, we strive to strengthen mooting culture and NLSTIAM continues to be one of our leading endeavours to that end. The quality of the NLSTIAM as the leading international arbitration moot in India is maintained through dedicated efforts with the Case Study being drafted and reviewed by several eminent domestic and international practitioners such as Ms. Sophie Nappert, Mr. Baiju Vasani, Mr. Ajar Rab and Mr. Ananda Burra for the current year. Keeping in line with our commitment to ensuring a fruitful learning experience, we invest a lot of time and effort, inviting leading practitioners and sitting judges to judge at NLSTIAM. Our continued partnership with India’s leading law firm, Trilegal as well as SIAC, is testament to our vision of providing students with the opportunity to begin their journey into arbitration law. Over the past decade, the moot has steadily garnered a reputation as one which deals with the cutting edge issues in contemporary arbitration law, attracting participation from India and abroad.
